Colonnade of Amenhotep III at Luxor Temple, acrylic skin transfer on Egyptian papyrus

Details

"Colonnade of Amenhotep III at Luxor Temple" is an acrylic skin transfer made from a photograph taken by me in 2016.

I get my Papyrus directly from the manufacturer in Egypt. The plant is grown in the Nile delta region of the country. Once harvested, it is cut into thin strips, pressed and dried to form a paper-like surface for writing and illustration.

The photograph was printed on an inkjet printer and transferred to the papyrus using a clear acrylic medium.

Print is sold without a frame. It measures 8 1/4" x 12". I recommend a shadow box when framing, but this is just my personal taste.

I use rare-earth magnets (not included) to hang the print (unframed) in this photo.
