"Osiris at Karnak" is a cyanotype on Egyptian papyrus. The photograph was taken by me.
I get my Papyrus directly from the manufacturer in Egypt. The plant is grown in the Nile delta region of the country. Once harvested, it is cut into thin strips, pressed and dried to form a paper-like surface for writing and illustration.
The Cyanotype process is typically used with watercolor paper. The UV sensitive emulsion must be applied to the Papyrus by hand in low UV light. Special considerations and adjustments must be made when using Papyrus.
Print is sold without a frame. It measures 7" x 9". I recommend a shadow box when framing, but this is just my personal taste.
I use rare-earth magnets (not included) to hang the print (unframed) in this photo.
