Sailing along the Nile at Aswan, Six Polaroid™ emulsion lift on Egyptian papyrus

"Sailing along the Nile at Aswan" Consists of a six Polaroid™ images lifted and transferred to Egyptian papyrus. The photograph was taken by me in 2020.

I get my Papyrus directly from the manufacturer in Egypt. The plant is grown in the Nile delta region of the country. Once harvested, it is cut into thin strips, pressed and dried to form a paper-like surface for writing and illustration.

The photograph was converted to six Polaroid™ images using the Polaroid lab process. It was then transferred to the papyrus using known emulsion lift methods.

Print is sold without a frame. It measures 9" x 13.5". I recommend a shadow box when framing, but this is just my personal taste.

I use rare-earth magnets (not included) to hang the print (unframed) in this photo.
